The world of Takkure

In the year 2090, humanity lives under the absolute rule of The Triad, a consortium of three giant megacorporations that seized global control following the “Great Pact”—a massive intervention in response to climate collapse, the failure of democracy, and overpopulation. Although they managed to stabilize society by gathering the population into three gigantic vertical Megalopolises, severe inequality, widespread automation, and growing social alienation pushed the people into a state of anxiety and isolation. To control the unrest, The Triad created Takkure: a violent, four-player sport originally designed as a commercial release valve and pure distraction (panem et circenses), which over time has transformed into the primary stage for resistance, protest, and visibility for the dispossessed.
